Archtours organised a trip for a Norwegian architectural agency to Copenhagen and Helsingør in mid-October focusing on urban districts, residential areas and spas in old harbours
On the first night, the group learned about Danish design at a workshop and an exhibition, and enjoyed dinner in their chosen restaurant. During a guided bicycle tour of Copenhagen, the group studied urban spaces on Brygge island and had lunch at the Royal Danish Library.
The group also studied the exterior and interior of the famous Tietgen Residence Hall. On Saturday, their trip continued to Helsingør and the Maritime Museum of Denmark on a minibus. On the way back, the group explored some of the must-see sites of Danish design and modern architecture: Finn Juhl’s house, the extension of the Ordrupgaard Museum, which was designed by Zaha Hadid, and Bæksværd Church, designed by Jørn Utzon.
